How do you exactly define a foreign exchange scam? A forex scam could be best explained as a deceptive method employed by a company or a person into attracting gullible people to indulge in forex trade by promising huge gains. Many people who have promised moon to trusting forex traders have been have been brought to book some time or the other. Being a very lucrative option to making money, forex trading is seen as a very profitable business by one and all. There has been a spurt in the number of forex traders owing to technological advantages, in the recent times.

CFTC or the Commodity Futures Trading Commission was brought into force by the Congress as early as in 1974 as an autonomous body to have a control over commodity futures and stock option markets in America. The main aim behind this is to safeguard the public and the traders from malpractices, and unlawful practices in forex trade and introduce transparency in the system. Before you get into forex trading, you should brace yourself well with the knowledge of forex so that you are able to ascertain the sincerity of the claims made by the people in this business. You should be able to protect your money and take legal recourse against fraudulent men, by not falling for their baits. Also, you would be well advised to stay away from interbank market as it is not considered very safe. Do not be drawn by requests to transfer money and above all, do not encourage telephonic dealings. The more equipped you are, the better you will be able to handle any adversity. Last and most important aspect would be to trade with only such money which you can afford to risk or lose and do not make hasty decisions. Tread carefully at every level as you are aware by now that money-making overnight is not a plausible prospect. In the current scenario, frauds are escalating and it would be sensible to be astute and cautious.
